GLOBOX July 2016 Unboxing and express Review

I love subscription boxes (most of them) as they are like surprise gifts from one self to one selves.  The subscription box which I'm going to review today is quite new and has just entered the Indian market: The GLOBOX.

 I was quite curios about this box as I have heard some really great reviews of this one and wanted to try it out myself.

I received this box within 5 days of placing the order which is impressive.

Packing:

 I was quite surprised to see it in a plain cardboard box, but as per the card there is some contest going on and mostly the packing would change in few months. 

All the products were neatly and securely warped in butter paper with elastic black ribbon. Most of the products had it own bubble wrap to keep them safe in transit. 

This simple but efficient packaging impressed me quite a bit

My Thoughts:

Once you decide on the subscription box you need to fill in the profile & according to your answers the team selects & sends you the products suitable for your skin type and skin woes.

The box contains 2 globox stickers 2 notes from from CEO thanking for the purchase and one from their skin expert with how to use the products. Both the notes are hand written which impressed a lot to get something so personalised.

The box contains only full size products which is another plus point. All the products which I received were specifically curated as per my profile which shows that they really do put in time and effort to read the profile and then send the products. All the products that I received screamed “only for you”

Most of the products are from good/well known brand and most are herbal/chemical free brands. One more score for the box.

Express reviews of the products I received.

Attitude Deodorant (INR 260)

It has woody flowery kind of smell which is not my usual favourite but for some reason I liked it.It’s quite mild but stays put for entire day.

Oriflame Body Lotion (INR 279 for 300 ml)

This body moisturiser has vitamin E and has SPF which nourishes & protects you skin at the same time. It has watery texture and gets absorbed easily in skin without giving any greasy/oily feeling. It has extremely mild fragrance which disappears quickly & it hydrates quite well.

Bio Bloom Apricot/Aloe Face Pack (INR 499 for 50 gms)

This face pack claims to reduce the redness of skin and gives even skin tone by reducing the appearance of acne scars. I had specifically mentioned that I have acne prone skin and have lot of acne scars and hence I’m so glad they sent me product specifically for this issue.

Rustic Art Aloe Shampoo (INR 290 for 200 ml)

This is a gentle hair cleanser suitable for dry hair, it says it help reduce the hair fall (perfect for me) and is SLE, SLS, Paraben free. It has very mild ayurvedic/herbal smell which I like. I’m looking forward to try it.

Aryanveda Pollutend face wash (INR 149 for 60 ml)

This is a product that has intrigued me a lot. It claims to be anti pollutant and reverses the effect of damage caused to the skin due to pollution. I has gel like consistency with golden shimmer particles in it. It is very mild face wash which cleanse my face effectively without drying it. It also imparts a subtle glow to my face which I quite like.

Globox costs 799 INR and the total sum of the products in this month’s Glo Box is INR 1447 and which is almost double the price of this box.

Overall:

I really liked this box a lot. It is perfectly customised as per my needs & has all full size products and it’s quite reasonably prices for the quality & quantity of products sent.

June 2016 Fab Bag: The Beauty Addict: Review

This June fabbbag made a grand entrance by arriving in first week itself and man did it make an entrance. I was so excited to see the bag that I ended up unboxing it in my office itself.

I absolutely love the packing of this month’s bag, team fabbag has outdone themselves with this month’s packing.

This month’s fab bag is extremely cute and adorable. It’s black canvas with words “Eat sleep makeup Repeat” quite a suitable mantra for this month’s theme: Beauty Addict. I’m definitely going to be using this bag a lot, as its quite classy, chick and of really good quality.

Coming to contents, I'm quite satisfied with the contents of this bag, It has 4 products out of which 3 are full size products with only 1 deluxe size sample.

Be A Bombshell eye Shadow Crayon: High roller (Full size: INR 1200)

I had a option to select a shade in this product and the shade that I selected (high roller) is cool toned emerald green which is quite sheer but definitely buildable colour.  It has very light shimmer and one can wear it during day time quite comfortably. I dint have any emerald green in my kitty hence went ahead with this color. And the gamble did pay off I absolutely love this color, but one would require good primer underneath as its not smudge proof. 

Skin Yoga Coffee Body scrub (Full Size: 845 INR)

I love this brand and whatever products I have used from this brand has worked extremely well for me in past, hope this works as well. One plus is I love coffee and this scrub is supposeto enhance fat metabolism and help in removing liquid fat from skin. It also reduces the appearance of stretch mark and reduces cellulite.

I’m just happy that I have 100% organic body scrub which smell of coffee. Again it’s a full size product which will last me good 10-11 times.

Janseen RoC Eye Cream (Full Size : 1450 INR)

Again a full size product, I dint really know much about this brand, but a quick search on Google enlightened me that its quite reputed brand in USA. I love eye creams but this is wrinkle smoothing eye cream and definitely not for me. I will probably pass it on to my mom. Hopefully she will like it. Although I’m happy to receive this full size product I wish they would have given something age appropriate for me.

Karite Buerre Pure Shea Butter (Sample size: Full size @ 499 INR)

It is the only sample in this bag. I love products with shea butter, what’s better is its infused with SPF 16. This is a deluxe sample and would last me quite long. It is perfect to be used on cuticles, lips. It claims that it can be used on hair as well but I’m quite sceptical about it as its has very petroleum jelly type consistency.

                        

Overall I absolutely loved this month’s fabbag. Total value of this bag is INR 2949 and you get it for INR 599 which I feel is quite a steal from economical point on view. From usability point this bag does justice to the needs of its consumer. A definitely must buy as per me.

FabBag March 2016: “More Power to you”: Review

One of the side effects of getting your fabbag late is that, you have already seen  what majority of other people have got in their bag so you start expecting similar things in your bag or hoping that you would not the same thing, and like always you are disappointed in both cases.

So if you ask me I liked my fabbag bag would have loved it more if I had got Nykka nail paint, Votre serum and Breaking bare lipstick as oppose to ones I received.

Anyways life is not fair and you deal with it, I dealt with my disappointment by placing order on Nykaa for the said lipstick and nail paint much to my boyfriend annoyance and objection. This time he can deal with it.  

March 2016 Fabbag theme is: “More power to you”.

Packaging:

 March 2016 fabbag or pouch is silver grey color and of good quality but I'm not sure what I think about it. I don’t hate it per say but dint really like it either.

My thoughts:

SUGAR Cosmetics Its’s Pout Time! Vivid Lipstick: Coraline In the City

Like my initial rant I'm not too fond of orange shades would have preferred Breaking bare to this one, any ways color is nice vibrant orange. Its matte finish lipstick and you have to swipe it 2-3 times to get full coverage. It stays on for 2-3 hours on me with food breaks. Detailed review coming soon.

Sugandha Neem Green Tea Plant Mask:

I love masks so pretty excited about this product. I have already received a full size product from this brand and loved it, only issue is it’s in powder form which tends to get a messy affair when you mix it with rose water to make it a paste and apply it.

Wella professionals Elements Renewing Shampoo and Wella professionals Elements Renewing mask: 

I have read some good things about this brand so excited to try these. They are parabene free which is another plus. Since they came in deluxe size they are going in my travelling bag.

Ital Veloce set of 3 fine fragrance mists (Summer Snow Flakes, Chilli Town Blushes, and Midnight Kisses) 

I have never heard of this brand to be truthful but I love to receive sample size perfumes/body mists & since they are deluxe size samples I'm pleased to say the least.. They have nice fresh smell and last around 1.5- 2 hours. Chilli town Blushes is my favourite amongst the three.

Over all thoughts: A decent bag with good products but I had extremely high expectation from this month’s bag hence a tad bit disappointed.

Fab Bag : September 2015 :3rd Anniversary Special : Review

Hey every one.

Fab Bag formerly known as velvet box completed 3 year this month, hence they had very special fab bag for month of September. Let’s see what I received in my September Fab bag: 3 Anniversary Special Bag

My experience with Fabbag so far has been pretty good…I had opted for 6 month plan out of which June and August were decent if not great and July was fabulous with its red carpet theme.

After Luke warm bag in August which I received in 1st week of September I was hoping for good bag  in September, also since usually I get my bag so late I was praying that I would get the products same as others as usually when toy receive bag late some products are replaced.

Packaging

This month’s fab bag is shiny maroon /cherry in color. I love the color but not really fond of the bling, but this time the quality of bag is so much better than the previous ones, Hence I’m willing to overlook the bling part of bag.

September months fabbag has 6 products out of which 3 are full size products.(Yay!!) This is one thing that I love about subscriptions bags when they send full size products..

Quick Review of Products:

Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Liquid Conceale: Full Size(550/- INR Shade: Medium)

I absolutely love this brand; If you follow me then you already know that I have so many products from this brand. Hence I was overjoyed when I received a full size concealer from my favorite brand.

The concealer is in shade medium which suits me pretty well. It is slightly thin in texture and gives light coverage.

Kama Ayurveda Pure Rose Water: Full Size (50 ml 250/- INR) 

Next I received 100% organic pure rose water from Kama Ayurveda. Again one of my favorite brands, There is not even one product from the brand that I have tried and not liked. I already own rose water from Kama which was going to get over very soon and now I got this to replace it… 

Just Herbs Gotukola Indian Ginseng Rejuvenating Beauty Elixir: Full Size (15ml 985INR) 

One more full sized product from organic brand called Just Herbs. Fabbag introduced me to this brand last year June when I had received a facewash sample from them. It is a good brand with really nice products so I’m very excited to try this Elixir. It is light weight formula which gets absorbed in skin fairly quickly. It has runny texture.  Full review coming up soon.

The Balm Stainlac Lip and Cheek Stain: Sample Size (8.5 gms for 1200 INR )

Coming to the star product of this bag, Lip and cheek stain from …..TheBalm!!! I was completely ecstatic to get it in my September fabbag. It has nice rosy color which gives nice flush to the skin that makes it look healty and natural. It is not at all drying so you can easy apply it on lips to five natural rosy tints to the lips. I used it with My Maybelline lipbalm and it gave very pretty color and stayed for 3-4 hours. Absolutely loved this product.

Skinn by Titan Celeste for Women & Raw for Men: Sample Size (50 ml for Rs 990/- INR) 

Next I received small perfume samples from skinn. 1 for men and 1 for women, I like getting perfume samples as they are easy to carry, but as these are gals vials im not sure if I will carry them around like All good scents. The perfumes smell really good so I’m happy to try something new.

I also got a card with my name on it with the details of products in my fab bag. I received my fab post, which is a fabbag magazine containing details of all the products inside the pouch and the discounts that I will get on the full size products from this month’s brands.

Over this month’s  fab bag was awesome with 3 full sized products and the samples from greats brands. After last month’s fabbag it was really nice to get such beautiful bag these months. It was worth every penny and I’m completely in love with it.

MY Envy Box: September 2015 : Review

Hey everyone!

I like the concept of subscription boxes, it gives us a chance to try out new products which we usually would not try due to its nonavailability or because we are not aware of them. In fact I found 2 of my favourite products  through subscription box, that been said not boxes are worth the cost or the hype. None the less let's look at today’s box: September box from My Envy box.

My Envy Box is monthly subscription box that sends high end product samples, usually 4 -5 samples each box . Subscription starts at 850 INR for 1 month. ”

As I said earlier I was not really fond of My envy box but after August Envy box, I kind of got hooked on it and got 3 months subscription.

Coming to the box unlike last time September's My envy box doesn't have any specific theme as such. Also as compared to August my envy Box this month’s box is bit disappointing, but not bad.... just a bit dull.

My Take on products:

 

·        Catrice Lipstick : Full size 3.8g ( 610 INR) Shade : 380 : Nude-tastic

I love Catrice products, I already own an eyeliner from this brand and I completely love it, hence I was delighted to see a full size product from Catrice in My September Envy Box. The color I got is Nude-tastic which is true nude and does not suit me at all. As it is  not really my shade and washes me out completely I was slightly miffed but the lipstick in general is really good, it stayed on for 4-5 hrs and is very moisturising. I would love to try more vibrant colors from this range for sure.

·        Sebastian Penetraitt Shampoo : Full size: 50 ml (300 INR)

This is another full sized product in this month’s box. It is hair strengthening and repairing shampoo. I have already used their  hair moisturising shampoo and liked it quite a lot so looking forward to using this one.

·        Davidoff Coolwater shower gel : Deluxe Sample (Full Size 150ml : 1800 INR)

This has to be the highlight of My September Envy box, a deluxe size showe gel from Davidoff. If any of you have ever used Davidoff Cool water perfume then this smells exactly like that. I really really like this smell and was ecstatic when  I got this in September months My envy box..

Za Total hydration Fresh Foamy cleanser :5ml sample (Full Size 100g: 299 INR)

Next is a really small sample from Za facewash which is just 5ml, This would probably last me 2-3 washes. I like za products and know that I would most definitely love this face wash as well but I really wished the size was bit bigger.

Over all September month's My envy box is not a bad box, but it is very disappointing after setting a bar so high with last month’s My envy box. Hope next month’s box fares better than this one.
